With the left it is ALWAYS about political gain

The proof of this sort of despicable behavior by the progtrads ample, but I want to come back to the whole rigmarole where millions of tax payer dollars were wasted on an investigation that they knew the leaker practically from the start and that the motive they produced was false, just to put Scooter Libby in jail, and all, because the left had a boner for Boosh and his people back in the day. Vallerie Plame, a nobody, was outed by Armitage, a democrat, and the left suddenly got all patriotic and concerned about national security. Kind of like they get concerned about deficit spending, military action, abuse of power, the right of states, and a slew of other such things, but then, only when a republican is in the WH. Now we have another such incident where national security was violated – for reeal this time – but because the guy in the WH is their man, they can’t be bothered.

The White House is adopting enhanced security procedures during foreign trips after the name of a CIA official was accidentally leaked to the press during President Barack Obama’s visit to Afghanistan late last month. However, no one was disciplined or fired as a result of the leak.

Deputy White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest announced the results of an investigation into the incident conducted by White House Counsel Neil Eggleston ahead of a fundraiser attended by the president in Massachusetts Wednesday evening. Earnest said Eggleston briefed White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough on the results of the investigation Tuesday. The president was also informed of the investigation’s findings Tuesday. Eggleston made three recommendations to prevent similar security breaches from occurring in the future.

The leak occurred when the name of the CIA’s station chief in Kabul was including on a list of officials who participated in a military briefing with Obama during his Afghanistan visit that was subsequently emailed to thousands of reporters on the White House press pool list. Business Insider has withheld the name of the station chief, which has not been widely reported in spite of the leak.

Earnest described the leak of the CIA station chief’s name as “inadvertent.” He said no officials were disciplined or fired.

“What this review was focused on was determining the nature of the release – in this case, they determined that it was inadvertent – and putting in place some process improvements that would make sure that this didn’t happen again,” Earnest explained.

So progtards investigate themselves, and find no wrong doing! Yeah, sure. Also note that they say that it is not a crime this time because it was an accident. If I recall correctly, the investigation on Plame found practically immediately that Armitage had revealed her name, by accident, but dragged on for over a year after that, because the left wanted blood. I wouldn’t be surprised that this was accidentally done. We are talking about progtard government types after all, and these fools take the prize for thinking they know shit when they are nothing but morons with authority. The point is the double standards. Again, if it was not for double standards, the left wouldn’t have any. Remember that time you hear these leftards accuse someone other side of criminal behavior.
